TCS to be launch partner for Microsoft Cloud for Retail

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Tuesday announced that it is now a partner for the newly-launched Microsoft Cloud for Retail, expanding its collaboration with the company. Microsoft Cloud for Retail is an industry-specific cloud that brings together various Microsoft technologies, linked by a common data model to connect experiences across the end-to-end shopper journey with integrated and intelligent capabilities.

Indonesia’s SaaS startup Lummo secures US$80M funding, unveils flagship product’s rebranding

Indonesian software-as-a-service (SaaS) startup Lummo, previously known as BukuKas, has raised US$80 million in its Series C round of funding. Lummo was launched in December 2019 as BukuKas, a bookkeeping app for MSMEs, with the objective of empowering and digitizing them. It later expanded its business by launching TOKKO, an online direct-to-consumer commerce builder.

Google Kills FLoC, Runs Out of Bird Metaphors, Offers Topics API

Google has given up on its FLoC cookie-less targeting initiative, which faced insurmountable privacy objections. The replacement, which mercifully does not reference anything bird-related, is Topics API, which will offer three recent interests for each individual based on sites they have recently visited.  The loss in targeting and tracking power is so huge that you wonder if Google is purposely showing what tighter privacy is costing the industry. Or maybe they’re just kneecapping competitors.
