AWS to launch infrastructure region in Malaysia; plans to invest $6B by 2037

Amazon Web Services (AWS), an Amazon.com, Inc. company, has announced plans to launch an AWS infrastructure Region in Malaysia. The new AWS Region will give developers, startups, entrepreneurs, and enterprises, as well as government, education, and nonprofit organizations, greater choice for running their applications and serving end users from data centers located in Malaysia. As part of its commitment to the region, AWS is planning to invest $6 billion in Malaysia by 2037.

Amora a Brazilian startup has received US$7.69M

Amora a Brazilian startup received US$7.69 million through debt in Real Estates Receivables Certificates (CRI) and equity from a Venture Capital investor. Amora offers a real estate contract, but it is not financing, since the customer does not need to acquire the property and if they want to buy the property, they have three years to make the decision. Amora portfolio is in Sao Paulo operating with only condominium properties.

SOCi Raises $120 Million for AI-Enhanced Marketing Automation

There is a special corner of the marketing automation world for “multi-location” businesses, in which a central brand coordinates with (often fiercely) independent local dealers or franchise holders. SOCi lives in that corner with clients including Ford, Ace Hardware, and Stanley Steemer. They just raised $120 million in financing, which they’ll use to integrate with – you guessed it – OpenAI to help local partners make better, faster marketing decisions.

Zeta Marketing Cloud Uses AI to Simplify Data Warehouse Connections

I don’t know when Zeta started calling itself “the AI-Powered Marketing Cloud”, but that no longer sounds very special. They’ve just announced a variety of AI-based enhancements, including omnichannel forecasting, enhanced propensity scoring, and no-code data warehouse connections. It’s the warehouse connections that catch my eye: AI has great potential to remove that bottleneck, yet few vendor talk about applying it to the problem.

Joint Industry Committee Offers Draft Requirements for Video Measurement

When I say “currency”, is what pops into your head “crypto” or “ad measurement”? If the latter, you’ll be excited that the Joint Industry Committee, a consortium of TV programmers, has published a first draft its requirements for cross-platform video currencies. The JIC will certify solutions that meet the standards, giving media buyers even more conflicting options to choose from. Sounds like a plan.
