CDP Celebrus Adds Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing

It’s a bit of a grab bag today, Dear Reader. First some CDP news: CDP Celebrus has added a collection of real-time machine learning and natural language processing capabilities. The list includes 50+ behavioral signals detected by machine learning; streams of real-time content recommendations; detection of unusual customer behaviors; and signals based on text analysis.

Trust Stamp Raises Funds for Privacy-Safe Identity Verification

Trust Stamp preserves privacy with a biometric-based identity token that’s unique for each individual but doesn’t reveal any personal information. This lets companies identify shared customers and authenticate individual identities without exposing personal data. They launched a Seedvest campaign last week which has so far raised $2.7 million of a $5.6 million goal, plus another $2.6 million from private investors.

CDP mParticle Sold to Rokt for $300 Million

CDP mParticle is being acquired by ecommerce platform Rokt for a price of $300 million.  It’s the third acquisition of a leading independent CDP in a little over one month, following Uniphore’s purchase of ActionIQ and Contentstack’s purchase of Lytics. All three buyers offer some type of customer-facing technology; apparently they’ve decided that adding real-time profiles from CDP will give them a competitive edge.  (See this blog post for more analysis.)
