We haven’t had much product news so far this year, Dear Reader, so I’m glad to report that Informatica has launched a SaaS version of its Customer 360 Master Data Management platform. The system includes data integration, data quality, process orchestration, and reference data management. Informatica’s CDP is a separate product, Customer 360 Insights.
CDP and audience management platform Omeda also has an acquisition: the subscription fulfillment business of ESP Computer Services. This is just about adding customers, since Omeda will migrate ESP’s clients onto its own systems. Omeda also purchased the subscription operation of Hallmark Data Systems back in 2016.
Last year was no fun for anyone, but this Hinge survey confirms that the tech industry suffered less than most. In fact, almost as many tech professional service firms reported that COVID helped their business (37%) as hurt it (42%). Tech was also the fastest-growing sector in the report, at 18%. Salesforce’s Dreamforce mega-conference is next week and the company’s publicity elves are already working overtime. In the first of what are sure to be daily announcements this week, the company announced 100+ industry-specific prompts, data models, and AI capabilities across its fifteen industry clouds. It also launched an AI Use Case Library to house its industry-specific AI offerings.
