Ryff offers even greater control over user experience, enabling video producers to dynamically vary objects as a video is streamed to a smart TV or other device. Different people can see different objects at the same time, based on rules set up by the video producers. So much for shared reality.

iHeartMedia Buys Stuff Media to Grow Its Podcast Business

Podcasts have been hailed as an emerging media channel recently. If you’re drinking that Kool-Aid, you’ll be interested that leading podcast publisher Stuff Media was just purchased by struggling radio, outdoor, and entertainment giant iHeartMedia, which already has a large podcast publishing and distribution operation. By “struggling”, I mean iHeartMedia filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last March.

Advocado Synchs Keyword Bids with TV Ads

Advocado has launched MicroMoment+, which automatically raises Google ad keyword bids for a few minutes after a TV ad is broadcast. Sounds crazy but a pilot study found a 98% increase in click-through. The system can also tie phone calls back to specific ads and includes prebuilt integration with Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Ads, Facebook, Bing ads, Microsoft Dynamics365, Zoho and Google Analytics. Advocado recently merged with Traaqr, which provides small businesses with online-to-phone conversion tracking.

One-Third of Marketers Will Buy a CDP This Year: Optimove Survey

Just over one-third of marketers plan to either buy a new CDP (21%) or replace an existing one (13%) this year, according to this Optimove survey. Unfortunately, it doesn’t report how many have a CDP already in place, which would put the other values in perspective. It does seem that CDPs are a relatively low priority: they rank sixth on the list of new systems and eighth on the list of systems to replace.
