Top TV manufacturers sued by Texas for ACR spying

Sony, Samsung, LG, Hisense and TCL Technology Group Corporation (“TCL”) are being sued for unlawfully collecting Texans’ data via Automated Content Recognition (ACR) software, which captures data on consumer viewing activity to use for ad targeting.
