82% of people would support preventing companies and devices from sharing their data

A large majority of people don’t want their data collected or shared without consent, according to a new survey from Invisibly. Data privacy is important to them (68%), they don’t like getting targeted ads online (76%), and even more women (87%) than men (76%) would support ad changes that prevent this.

New Brand Safety Initiatives from IPG Mediabrands, IAS. Apology from DoubleVerify

It’s tough to get brand safety right, but the industry keeps trying.  IPG Mediabrands announced a new set of tools to find and block inappropriate ad placements, while IAS expanded its suitability measurements to include standards from the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM).  Meanwhile, DoubleVerify admitted a mistake made brand safety on X/Twitter look worse than it really was in October 2023 and March 2024.
