AI tool, PimEyes has facial recognition technology even Google didn’t want to use. The website offers reverse image searching using face photo scans and finds matches across the web. While the company claims it’s used for helping people monitor their web presence, it’s also collected many images of children and adds dead people to its database. Where will we decide to draw the line??
You can think of digital experience platforms as expanded versions of content management systems. That’s certainly the case with Optimizely, which is the name adopted content manager Episerver after it purchased experimentation platform Optimizely in 2020. They just launched Optimizely One, an integrated-but-composable “marketing operating system” that spans content creation, audience selection, personalization, experimentation, and analytics.
They didn’t call it a CDP, but Meta just launched a product to “connect your first-party data from any sources to any destination, streamlining your data handling processes and unlocking valuable insights to optimize your marketing campaigns.” The name of this miracle cure is Signals Gateway, and pricing seems to start at $30 per month. Data is hosted in Amazon Web Services and, at least in theory, Meta can’t see it.
