A cyber crime intelligence firm discovered that a mass of personal data from a Facebook breach in 2019 has been published online, exposing more than half a billion people. Information includes names, phone numbers, email addresses, biographical information and location data. While Facebook can’t do anything about the data reveal, it could alert users, since they are now easy targets for scams and identity theft.

Demographics, company, financial, and anonymized individual data are the most common purchases, while business intelligence, advanced analytics, and predictive models are almost tied as the most common applications.
The U.S. Senate has passed a bill that could potentially ban TikTok in the U.S. if its Chinese owner, ByteDance, does not sell its holdings within a year. The bill now goes to the President Biden, who has said he will sign it. Court challenges are likely to follow.
