The New York Times has reported that people have received Apple alerts of AirTags beacons attached surreptitiously to cars to geotrack location either of the car for future theft, or of the person.
The group of parents from eight US states – Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Washington – who objected to Amazon collecting recordings of their children’s voices, have ended their privacy suit. No announcement was made on whether payment was made to the litigants.
The new attack centered on SIM cards, but also contained personal information originating from billing plans. This marks four breaches of T-Mobile in the same number of years.
