Character.AI, a role-playing startup that engaged teens in open-ended chats, is changing to become a “role-playing platform” in response to lawsuits and claims that two or more teens died of suicide after prolonged engagement with its chatbot.
Twilio has agreed to acquire Stytch, which calls itself an “identity platform for humans and AI agents.” Twilio plans to use Stytch to create unified identities across channels for both AI agents and humans, as well as identify rogue agents to prevent fraud in real time. Twilio also owns the Segment CDP.
