Qatar plans to unveil a new data privacy law. The country’s Acting Assistant Undersecretary of Information Technology Affairs shared the information during a panel at the Smart City Expo event in Doha. Qatar has emerged as a leader in tech adoption and innovation.
The apps were found to have hidden data-harvesting software using code written by a Panamanian company, Measurement Systems S. de R.L, which has cyber intelligence and network defense connections. Its apps are used by millions of Android customers.
