IT’S THE LAW (06/17/2025)

The UK passed the Data (Use and Access) Bill (DUA), its reform of the UK GDPR and Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. Substantial changes include rules on data exports, information requirements for DSARs, and changes to the role of the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

No surprise is AI is at the top with 46% of companies concerned about how to stay compliant while growing AI. Organization within the company and measuring compliance is also critical at large and medium companies while adding privacy offices at smaller companies jumped by threefold since last year. Vendor management and building brand trust are also keys for success.
