Meta has confirmed that EU users will have the option to switch off AI for Facebook and Instagram, which will give them use of non-personalized content feeds. This is to meet the August 25 deadline imposed via the EU Digital Services Act (DSA).
A survey conducted by Predibase of enterprise executives across 29 countries found one-third reported being uncomfortable using Large Language Models (LLMs) in production. Concern centered around sharing sensitive or proprietary data, particularly with commercial LLM vendors.
They didn’t call it a CDP, but Meta just launched a product to “connect your first-party data from any sources to any destination, streamlining your data handling processes and unlocking valuable insights to optimize your marketing campaigns.” The name of this miracle cure is Signals Gateway, and pricing seems to start at $30 per month. Data is hosted in Amazon Web Services and, at least in theory, Meta can’t see it.
