Cameroon just served up a draft of its data protection bill for debate and is getting pushback from some digital rights groups. Concerns are for clearer definitions about what is covered in the law, worries that the regulator overseeing privacy is closely tied to government, and because protections for whistleblowers has not been defined.
Italy’s regulator fined delivery app Foodinho €5M (US $5.24M) for transmitting the data of 35,000 of its riders to third parties and for using their biometric data. The company has also received past fines for privacy breaches.
The case brought against Illuminate Education Inc. claims the company; which collected students’ mental, physical and emotional health records for educational institutions, did not abide by promises to protect privacy and did not inform users of a breach for more than five months.

Capital for “approximately $1 billion”. Kantar Media accounts for 4,500 of Kantar Group’s 25,000 employees.
