Meta, not known for caring who knows your business, has taken full exposure to new heights with its Meta AI app. There, without bothering to let users know global sharing is where they’re headed, Meta provided an easy-share button to use when its AI answers a question. Not required, but not well explained either, so unsuspecting users have shared whatever was on their minds – from gastro discomfort to contemplating a tax cheat.
The head of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment said the governor violated state law by agreeing to turn over information about people who provide homes for unaccompanied immigrant children due to a federal subpoena. The director claims this would force him to act illegally as part of his job.

The web search tool Perplexity looks like it’s taking on Google with its latest release, a web browser named Comet. Comet claims to move “from browsing to thinking,” surfacing information and search results in response to natural language queries. Comet is available immediately to Perplexity Max subscribers; others can join a wait list.
