One of North America’s largest freight companies, BNSF loses Illinois biometric case – cost: $228M

A landmark case, believed to be the first jury verdict in an Illinois privacy biometrics case, has entered a $228 million judgement against BNSF Railway favoring the 45,000-member class-action. While BNSF plans to appeal, if the decision holds, each class action member could get approximately $5,000.
