OneTrust Acquires and Integrates DocuVision’s Redacted.ai

Effective immediately, OneTrust has incorporated DocuVision’s data redaction capabilities into its own. The combined technology, OneTrust Data Redaction, will enable companies to find, redact and protect sensitive data in documents and emails.

Sourcepoint Lets Advertisers Avoid Sites with Poor Privacy

Companies that really care about privacy will also worry about how their partners treat customer data.  Consent management vendor Sourcepoint has launched Privacy Lens, an automated service that scans publisher Web sites to check their privacy practices.  Advertisers can then select only the publishers whose practices they find acceptable.  The system also tells publishers how much revenue they might gain if they improved a particular practice.

IT’S THE LAW (3/2/2021)

Massachusetts’ new law balances police needs to identify unknown persons with minimizing errors inherent in facial recognition technology.  The law allows officers access to information, but only after getting a judge’s permission and having the search run via the state police, FBI, or motor vehicle department. The hope is this will produce more accurate results than allowing officers to search for photo matches via facial recognition apps they select on their own.

GrowthLoop and TransUnion Partner to Optimize Audience Reach

GrowthLoop will use TransUnion identity data to improve U.S. consumer match rates on client files sent to advertising media such as Facebook and Google Ads.  The data should also help clients to find matches among records within their files, building more accurate customer profiles.  GrowthLoop calls itself a “composable CDP”, meaning it works with data assembled in external data warehouses.
