Seventy percent of global consumers favor privacy laws – and think US should pass one

The 2024 Cisco Consumer Privacy Survey of 2600+ participants from Europe, Asia and the Americas found overwhelming support (70%) for privacy protection. For the first time in six years since polling began, more than half (53%) reported being aware of their country’s law, and 70% globally (81% in the US) believe the US should pass a federal privacy law.
