US recommends using encryption following mass telecom breach

Two US government agencies are recommending citizens consider using encrypted communications apps in the wake of one of the largest intelligence compromises in the country’s history.

The breach included access to mass call records, metadata, and phone calls. The FBI and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) don’t know how long it will take to fix, so those wanting privacy should act.
