Therefore: self-service data preparation vendor Paxata has been purchased by self-service machine learning vendor DataRobot. The deal will make it easier to prepare training data – a common role for a CDP.

They’re much less interested in case studies, how-to content, ROI calculators, and opinion columns. They’re also not very interested in market research, so I’ll stop right here.

Reports emerged at the weekend that Salesforce was in advanced talks to acquire data management and integration platform Informatica.  The deal would be Salesforce’s largest since acquiring Slack in 2021, and shares fell 7% Monday on the news.  Informatica would add more advanced technical capabilities to the Salesforce product line.
