Digital experience platform Acquia has added AI capabilities to the digital asset management component of its suite, Acquia DAM. Acquia Video Creator is an AI-powered tool that allows easy creation of videos using drag-and-drop from the existing asset library. AI can generate voiceovers, subtitles and translations and there’s also automated transcription.
This CDP survey from MessageGears contains more apples-to-oranges comparisons than the fruit bowl at your rich cousin’s wedding. Case in point: it implicitly contrasts the 10% of CDP owners who feel their product meets all their needs with the 86% of composable tech (NOT composable CDP) users who are very or somewhat satisfied with it. Still, the fundamental point—that no single product can meet all marketing department needs—is surely correct.
M&A initiatives in the martech space increased to 33 in Q3, 2024, an increase of 38% on Q2 according to stack management platform CabinetM. New product releases were down from Q1 and Q2, although those quarters saw a lot of AI-related announcements. Similarly, investment looks way down from over $10 billion in Q2 to $1.5 billion in Q3, but the Q2 figures were skewed by a couple of massive AI investments.
Marketing Intelligence, a new solution from Salesforce, provides always-on ingestion of marketing data. Drawing on the unified data of Salesforce Data Cloud and the support of Agentforce agentic AI, it will deliver actionable insights and recommendations. It will feature a homepage for marketers; paid media optimization as Agentforce automatically pauses low-performing ads; and automatic data enrichment.
