Enterprise AI vendor Uniphore has acquired CDP ActionIQ and cloud data engineering system Infoworks. The combination of products will create a Zero Data AI Cloud that simplifies AI deployments by enabling companies to access data for AI projects without moving it from existing systems. Prices were not announced.
Of the top 100 U.S. retailers, 97% experienced a security breach in the last year according to research by SecurityScorecard. These were mostly third-party breaches, with only 12 retailers directly breached. Retailers, of course, are custodians of vast quantities of PII and payment details which should not be low-hanging fruit.
Experian has acquired Audigent, a curation platform that packages multiple publishers’ first party data and ad inventory into audiences for programmatic advertising. The deal will add sell-side distribution to Experian’s demand-side advertising capabilities.
Changes in marketing channels and data access have made advertising measurement more important, and challenging, than ever. Taking advantage of growing interest in the topic, Bain Capital is selling Kantar Group’s audience measurement division, Kantar Media, to global investment firm H.I.G. Capital for “approximately $1 billion”. Kantar Media accounts for 4,500 of Kantar Group’s 25,000 employees.
