Adobe Campaign Adds AMP Email Support

It’s a light news day, Dear Reader, so I’ll stoop to some mild click-baiting with a minor item that puts Adobe in the headline. That being: Adobe has added AMP support to its Campaign email engine. AMP is an open standard that lets emails contain interactive elements such as forms and dynamically updated content. That’s legitimately interesting, although Adobe isn’t the only vendor to support it.

CDP mParticle Sold to Rokt for $300 Million

CDP mParticle is being acquired by ecommerce platform Rokt for a price of $300 million.  It’s the third acquisition of a leading independent CDP in a little over one month, following Uniphore’s purchase of ActionIQ and Contentstack’s purchase of Lytics. All three buyers offer some type of customer-facing technology; apparently they’ve decided that adding real-time profiles from CDP will give them a competitive edge.  (See this blog post for more analysis.)
