On the services side, marketing services company Allant Group has acquired the services business of martech consultants CMO Labs. The deal will beef up Allant’s CDP deployment capabilities and its digital marketing chops in general. Allant works with several CDP providers, matching different products to the needs of different clients.
Customer success vendor and CDP Gainsight unveiled a collection of new tools at its virtual customer conference this week. The U.S. Senate has passed a bill that could potentially ban TikTok in the U.S. if its Chinese owner, ByteDance, does not sell its holdings within a year. The bill now goes to the President Biden, who has said he will sign it. Court challenges are likely to follow.
