Australia’s government has been called on to ban sports gambling ads because of growing bipartisan concern about young people’s exposure to the ads. But the gambling industry has warned of cutbacks to sports coverage and grassroots sports if the initiative succeeds.
New Zealand’s government doesn’t have government-wide guidelines yet for internal use of AI, so is proceeding cautiously by banning staff from using ChatGPT and other AI technologies. This is similar to decisions other governments and major corporations including, Apple, Samsung, Amazon, JPMorgan Chase, Deutsche Bank and Goldman Sachs, have made.
Malaysia wants to lure US tech giants Microsoft Corp and Alphabet Inc’s Google in its drive to be a data hub and as it positions itself as a neutral supply chain base amid rising US-China tensions, Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Zafrul Abdul Aziz said in an interview with Bloomberg Television.
CDP and marketing cloud vendor Zeta Global announced an agreement to purchase LiveIntent, which helps companies do email-based advertising. The deal will let Zeta expand its identity graph, enter the publisher monetization business, and accelerate its mobile and retail media products. Zeta will pay $77.5 million in cash and $172.5 million in common stock, with potential for additional payments based on performance.
