Australian government commits to having 1.2M more tech workers by 2030

A new report by the government and the Tech Council of Australia outlines where workers are needed and key growth areas anticipated. There are currently 861,000 people employed in tech in the country, but vacancy rates are 60% higher than the national average, and tech jobs are forecast to grow at triple the rate.

Google Again Delays Third-Party Cookie Deprecation

Procrastinators of the world can throw a party whenever they get around to it: Google has once more pushed back complete third-party cookie deprecation.  The new target is “early next year.” Reasons for the delay include concerns expressed by U.K. data regulator Information Commissioner’s Office, an ongoing inquiry by the U.K. Competition and Markets Authority, and widespread discontent in the advertising ecosystem.
