Nobody ever had too much fun, say the country song writers. But apparently they can have too much data. This Oracle study finds 91% of business leaders say their success has been limited by the growing number of data sources, and 73% say lack of trust in data has prevented them from making any decisions at all.
This study shows 90% of games analyzed by Usercentrics didn’t comply with GDPR or the ePrivacy Directive by offering consent choice. It also includes a case history that found a 1.5% increase in ad revenue per user with integrated consent.
Having data isn’t all bad, of course. Demand Metric and AlignBI report that 68% of star performers have a complete or near-complete view of their customers, compared with just 18% of under performers. Salesforce has reversed course on its bid to acquire data management and integration platform Informatica a source has told Reuters. Informatica itself said that it is not in talks to be acquired. Salesforce stocks rose on this latest news while Informatica’s fell.
