California Judge Stops WordPress Interfering with WP Engine

A California judge has issued an injunction preventing WordPress and its co-founder Matt Mullenweg from blocking WP Engine’s access to WordPress resources and interfering with WP Engine plugins. The conflict arose when Mullenweg blocked WP Engine’s access to WordPress.org servers after accusing WP Engine of misusing the WordPress trademark and requesting a share of its revenue. WordPress owner Automattic blamed WP Engine for making its business dependent on WordPress services.

Meta Faces Class Action for Overcharging Facebook Advertisers

Remember the good old days, when lying was considered unacceptable? The folks at Iron Tribe Fitness, a South Carolina gym, are holding Meta to that forgotten standard in a class action suit alleging that Facebook overcharged advertisers as much as $4 billion by using one type of auction bidding process while claiming to use another.  Meta blames the error on a “software glitch” that began in 2013 and continued for at least four years.
