Clari Raises $225 Million for Revenue Operations

The term “revenue operations” is having its moment of buzz.  It’s how Clari describes itself, although “sales forecasting” might be more clear.  In any case, Clari just raised a $225 million Series F, bringing total funding to $496 million and quadrupling the company’s valuation in two years.

Cloud Migration Has a Non-Silver Lining: Reports

Here’s a trio of surprisingly consistent reports on the dark side of cloud computing. Dynatrace finds that companies are struggling to multi-cloud environments; Nutanix reports pretty much the same thing; and Stacklet says that governance is a “significant inhibitor” to cloud adoption. Of course, all three companies are selling solutions to the problem, but this still suggests that IT departments are finding cloud migrations are not as easy as they once seemed.

GrowthLoop and TransUnion Partner to Optimize Audience Reach

GrowthLoop will use TransUnion identity data to improve U.S. consumer match rates on client files sent to advertising media such as Facebook and Google Ads.  The data should also help clients to find matches among records within their files, building more accurate customer profiles.  GrowthLoop calls itself a “composable CDP”, meaning it works with data assembled in external data warehouses.
