Apps that collect data usage consent from consumers can store the details on blockchain, where other companies can read them to verify that data is shared legitimately. Nice.
We had a flurry of acquisitions last week, each serving a different strategic purpose. B2B CDP Leadspace is expanding its data quality and enrichment capabilities by acquiring ReachForce. There’s some overlap but Leadspace has predictive modeling and interaction management features that ReachForce does not.
Even shipping and inventory software vendor ShippingEasy is thinking outside the box. They already had a customer marketing solution that creates segments and sends emails. They’ve now expanded it to include Amazon feedback management and a drop-and-drop template builder for email campaigns, segmentation rules, and abandoned Shopify shopping carts.
It’s tough to get brand safety right, but the industry keeps trying. IPG Mediabrands announced a new set of tools to find and block inappropriate ad placements, while IAS expanded its suitability measurements to include standards from the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM). Meanwhile, DoubleVerify admitted a mistake made brand safety on X/Twitter look worse than it really was in October 2023 and March 2024.
