The three major food delivery platform companies, Deliveroo, Foodpanda and Grab, have come together to launch the Digital Platforms Industry Association (DPIA) in Singapore.
On Group, a Vietnam-based social commerce startup, announced that it has acquired local shipping aggregator TopShip. Following the deal, TopShip will be renamed to OnShip and act as one of the three main pillars of On’s ecosystem: logistics, sourcing, and financing.
Rebill, an Argentina-based startup, raised $3.6 million to continue building automated payment collection and subscription management tools for Latin America. The company automates the collection process and integrates payment gateways and invoicing tools so that customers don’t have to create their own. Currently, Rebill has clients in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay and collects payments in 15 currencies.
Procrastinators of the world can throw a party whenever they get around to it: Google has once more pushed back complete third-party cookie deprecation. The new target is “early next year.” Reasons for the delay include concerns expressed by U.K. data regulator Information Commissioner’s Office, an ongoing inquiry by the U.K. Competition and Markets Authority, and widespread discontent in the advertising ecosystem.
