Rokt mParticle has launched its Hybrid CDP on Snowflake AI Data Cloud, combining composable architecture with a cloud-native setup. This partnership will allow users to activate and analyze data in real time. In another example of CDPs and data companies working together, Bloomreach and Databricks have announced a new integration for direct data activation across the lakehouse.
Walmart has joined ChatGPT’s Instant Checkout program. After linking their Walmart account to ChatGPT, customers will be able to make purchases by pressing a “buy” button within the app. It’s a direct threat to ecommerce marketplaces like Amazon.
Meta has announced agreements with USA Today, People Inc., and other news publishers to pay for access to their content and link to their articles in its AI chatbot. It’s a sharp contrast to Perplexity, which the Chicago Tribune and New York Times are separately suing for allegedly scraping content and bypassing paywalls. Despite this deal, Meta apparently still opposes compensating publishers for news links in social media posts.
