Customer success system vendor Gainsight has added a platform to support product managers. Features include product analytics, customer feedback reporting, personalized experiences, and key performance indicators. Gainsight calls its system a Product Experience Platform, which would yield the cheerful acronym of PEP.
Google will soon make good on its promise to make Google Analytics 360 audiences available for activation in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud. No mention I could find of how they connect Web visitors to email addresses. Either they don’t want to remind us they often lack that data or they don’t want to remind us they always have it.
Finally, email data company TowerData is buying Xverify, which validates email addresses. The combined firm will check that email addresses are valid and enhance email addresses with demographic, household and purchase intent data.
Martech keeps taking larger bites out of marketing budgets: 17.3% last year, 19.9% this year, 23.5% next year, and 30.9% five years from now, according to the latest CMO Survey. This despite barely more than half (56.4%) of current tools being used and nearly half (48.8%) of the survey respondents reporting worse-than-expected results. Oddly enough, marketers rate selecting marketing technologies as the thing they do best.
