Half of Installed Software Goes Unusued: Nexthink Report

When martech folk have nothing else to worry about, they fret about unused software licenses.  This study from Nexthink adds fuel to that fire with data from six million customers across nine industries in twelve regions.  Bottom line: just under half of all installed software and SaaS licenses went unused.  Ay caramba!

What many marketers fear most about the end of third-party cookies is lost audience reach.  Permutive, which assembles anonymized audiences from publishers’ first-party data, is addressing that (get it?) by adding its cohorts to the Xandr Marketplace.   Barking up a neighboring tree, Disney announced it will make is own connected TV audiences available through integrations with LiveRamp and Experian audience identifiers.

Salesforce Connects AI-Based Marketing Apps with Data from CDP and Google

Salesforce kicked off its big Connections conference yesterday, and if you’re surprised the focus was on generative AI, you haven’t been paying attention.  Still, the focus this time was on marketing applications that draw on Salesforce CDP data, so it’s right up our alley.  They also announced direct access to Google BigQuery data, ticking the “zero-copy” box as well.
