Havas Media Network Partners with Shopify to Deliver Commerce Experiences

Havas Market, the eCommerce arm of Havas Media Network, is partnering with Shopify to get priority access to its commerce solutions. The partnership will enable Havas Market to offer brands customized solutions bringing together Havas’ digital marketing expertise and Shopify’s global infrastructure for commerce. It’s still unusual for media agencies like Havas to integrate with commerce platforms like Shopify, but you can expect to see it happen more often.

Walmart Data Ventures is offering it as a self-service solution within Walmart Luminate.

CDP mParticle Sold to Rokt for $300 Million

CDP mParticle is being acquired by ecommerce platform Rokt for a price of $300 million.  It’s the third acquisition of a leading independent CDP in a little over one month, following Uniphore’s purchase of ActionIQ and Contentstack’s purchase of Lytics. All three buyers offer some type of customer-facing technology; apparently they’ve decided that adding real-time profiles from CDP will give them a competitive edge.  (See this blog post for more analysis.)
