ID5, which offers an identifier and cross-device graph, has acquired TrueData, which provides graph services. This combination will provide addressability and measurement across channels. They describe their union as a “privacy-first identity powerhouse.”
Customer engagement platform MoEngage has raised $100 million ($60 million Series F and $40 million secondary market) to expand its Merlin AI agentic suite. Newer agents include Offer and Campaign Decisioning Agents to help B2C brands launch campaigns and scale conversions faster. This funding brings MoEngage’s total funding to $280.3 million.
Amazon has sued Perplexity over the Comet agentic browser, calling its ability to shop on behalf of users “misconduct” and “trespass.” Perplexity calls Amazon’s actions “bullying […] and intimidation.” While AI browsers threaten all web merchants, Amazon is one of the few that are strong enough to push back.
Meta has announced agreements with USA Today, People Inc., and other news publishers to pay for access to their content and link to their articles in its AI chatbot. It’s a sharp contrast to Perplexity, which the Chicago Tribune and New York Times are separately suing for allegedly scraping content and bypassing paywalls. Despite this deal, Meta apparently still opposes compensating publishers for news links in social media posts.
