Just 14% of B2B Tech Buyers Use Analyst Reports: TrustRadius

Gartner’s 2025 Magic Quadrant for CDPs was released a few weeks ago to the usual chorus of criticism. We’ll only note that TrustRadius has found that just 14% of B2B tech buyers consult analyst reports, down from 35% just three years ago. Most-used information sources per TrustRadius are prior experience (52%), product demonstrations (48%), user reviews (47%), vendor websites (45%) and free trials (36%), while 72% said they saw results from a Google Search AI Overview and 22% said they trust AI results always or very often, up from 9% in last year’s report.

December 12, 2025

Disney has agreed to license more than 200 characters, costumes, and environments (but not voices or talent likenesses) to OpenAI for Sora, its gen AI video platform. This is highly unusual for Disney, which generally sues AI models for copyright infringement; in fact, it sued Google for that a day before announcing the OpenAI deal. Disney will also invest $1 billion in OpenAI, nicely illustrating how very eager they are to join the AI party.
