Accenture has acquired Malaysian data management and analytics firm BIIT Consulting to complement Accenture’s efforts to drive greater AI and data transformation within the Southeast Asian region. The move also aims to further solidify Accenture’s position in the market for providing AI and data-led transformation services.
Accenture (NYSE: ACN) today announced its intent to acquire Experity, a leading provider of cloud-based customer experience and commerce solutions in Brazil. Experity helps businesses build greater efficiencies and agility in commerce, marketing, content and data through leading cloud-based technologies. Accelerated by the pandemic, Brazil’s e-commerce spending has reached historic levels – nearly $10 billion in the first six months of the year – pushing brands to rapidly reimagine their commerce experience.
“Ask Meta AI anything” is what you now see instead of the traditional search bar across Meta apps such as Facebook and Instagram. Meta AI will still perform the basic search function but will also answer questions and chat with you. It should hardly be a surprise when a tech company launches a genAI solution these days but this is a bold challenge to Google and Open.ai (it’s also available as a standalone tool at Meta.ai).
