Listrak Expands Shopify Integration

Cross-channel marketing automation platform (and CDP) Listrak is expanding its Shopify app to capture data from the Shopify server pixel and use it for identity resolution.  It will also add AI-powered predictive segmentation, present AI-driven product recommendations, auto-generate coupons within cross-channel triggered campaigns, and support real-time synchronization with customer, order, and product catalog information from Shopify.

MessageGears Adds AI-Driven Messages and Campaign Optimization

MessageGears, an activation and engagement platform, isn’t a CDP because it reads its data directly from an external data warehouse.  They’ve just announced an integration with AI tool Jacquard, which will auto-generate individualized messages across email, push notification and SMS based on customer data and campaign goals.  The system will also continuously optimize life campaigns for marketing and transactional messages.

CDP mParticle Sold to Rokt for $300 Million

CDP mParticle is being acquired by ecommerce platform Rokt for a price of $300 million.  It’s the third acquisition of a leading independent CDP in a little over one month, following Uniphore’s purchase of ActionIQ and Contentstack’s purchase of Lytics. All three buyers offer some type of customer-facing technology; apparently they’ve decided that adding real-time profiles from CDP will give them a competitive edge.  (See this blog post for more analysis.)
