Large majorities among both the general population and tech executives agree that the tech industry in general has been under-regulated and that AI development in particular needs to be monitored by a public agency. We’ve been starved for news this week but here’s a juicy funding announcement: $32 million to content marketing platform vendor Percolate. The deal brings Percolate’s total funding to $106 million.
And while we’re questioning assumptions, maybe Account Based Marketing isn’t so important, either. ABM vendor Terminus and the Heinz Marketing agency found that just 61% of organizations said they’re using ABM, compared with 81% one year ago. The percentage planning a budget increase similarly dropped from 82% to 60%. Thinking positive, the report argues the slower growth is a sign of maturity.
Salesforce has reversed course on its bid to acquire data management and integration platform Informatica a source has told Reuters. Informatica itself said that it is not in talks to be acquired. Salesforce stocks rose on this latest news while Informatica’s fell.
