Marketo and Infor Partner to Offer Integrated Customer Experience

Marketing automation vendor Marketo and business application provider Infor today announced a partnership to integrate and cross-sell their customer experience systems. The match-up makes perfect sense: both companies offer cloud-based systems sold primarily to the mid-sized companies, and Marketo fills a gap in the Infor product line, which has CRM but not B2B marketing automation. Marketo has been repositioning itself as an option for B2C marketing, but Infor already has solutions in that area.

Umbel Adds Digital Sponsorship Suite for Sport Franchises

One CDP trend we watch is systems for vertical markets. As a CDP for sports, entertainment, and membership businesses, Umbel fits nicely. They’ve just launched a “digital sponsorship suite” that makes it easier for franchises to sell sponsorships by gathering data from fans and sending them targeted advertising. Zeta Global to Buy LiveIntent for $250 Million

CDP and marketing cloud vendor Zeta Global announced an agreement to purchase LiveIntent, which helps companies do email-based advertising.  The deal will let Zeta expand its identity graph, enter the publisher monetization business, and accelerate its mobile and retail media products.  Zeta will pay $77.5 million in cash and $172.5 million in common stock, with potential for additional payments based on performance.
