Meta’s Business AI agents will act as the “voice” of brands, answering questions about products, remembering customer preferences and even offering discounts. Meta has extended an open invitation for businesses to join the beta waitlist for Business AI. With over 600 million conversations occurring daily between consumers and brands on Meta platforms, this is aimed at saving brands valuable time.
Without fanfare, Anthropic, proprietor of the Claude AI model, has withdrawn from voluntary commitments made under the previous U.S. administration. These include security testing models before release, watermarking AI-generated content and research on bias and discrimination (according to the Midas Project). The commitments were quietly removed from Anthropic’s Transparency Hub.
B2B go-to-market platform Demandbase is launching Agentbase, a system of AI agents designed to accelerate B2B pipeline growth. The first two agents are Campaign Outcomes Agent, to optimize bidding strategies, and Account Engagement Agent, to summarize engagement activity. More agents will be announced in the coming months.
Preliminary findings by the European Commission state that Apple and Google are in violation of the EU’s Digital Markets Act. Among the findings, Google Search is accused of prioritizing Google’s own products and services in results; Apple is instructed to improve interoperability between iOS and third-party devices. The companies now have an opportunity to respond.
