Microsoft Mash-Up Yields Customer Experience Platform

Microsoft has announced its Customer Experience Platform, which includes a collection of existing Microsoft products including their CDP, the catchily-named Dynamics 365 Customer Insights.   Other components offer data governance, machine learning, website analytics, journey orchestration, ad campaigns, ecommerce, sales and service.  It’s not clear what’s actually new here, although there may be more prebuilt integrations than before.

Medallia Launches Digital Suite to Combine Feedback with Behavioral Data

Medallia is a customer experience platform in the narrower sense of capturing customer feedback via surveys. They now include a wide range of data capture, unification, analysis, and interaction capabilities, which they just packaged as Medallia Digital Suite. If a combining customer feedback and behavioral data sounds familiar, you may be remembering that Zendesk bought SurveyMonkey parent Momentive just last week to do just that.

It’s tough to get brand safety right, but the industry keeps trying.  IPG Mediabrands announced a new set of tools to find and block inappropriate ad placements, while IAS expanded its suitability measurements to include standards from the Global Alliance for Responsible Media (GARM).  Meanwhile, DoubleVerify admitted a mistake made brand safety on X/Twitter look worse than it really was in October 2023 and March 2024.
