Sometimes it feels like all Big Tech and social media platforms are selfish and nefarious. A report from the Sustainable Media Center says that’s not entirely the case: it found 150 social media platforms that don’t exploit users or encourage polarization. It predicts the landscape will become more specialized and diverse.
Perplexity will pay Snap $400 million over one year to integrate directly into Snapchat. This will expand use of its engine in a fight for market share with OpenAI. Snap’s existing My AI chatbot will remain available alongside Perplexity.
Customer engagement platform MoEngage has raised $100 million ($60 million Series F and $40 million secondary market) to expand its Merlin AI agentic suite. Newer agents include Offer and Campaign Decisioning Agents to help B2C brands launch campaigns and scale conversions faster. This funding brings MoEngage’s total funding to $280.3 million.
