Just over a fifth of businesses are in a state of “high readiness” for AI even though 95% are working on AI plans, according to a global survey of over 300 business and IT professionals by BARC. IT is seizing back the spotlight from business teams, being involved in AI planning 95% of the time. The most advanced areas are security and compliance.
The legislation was written by a Democratic state senator and was passed last week by the California state legislature. The question is whether Governor Newsom, in a state where tech lobbying power is awesome, will sign it — and he has until the end of the month to decide. Some say the measure, which mandates safety testing, will drive AI innovation from the state.
Marketing may be data-driven and technology-powered but only 26% of B2B CMOs bear full responsibility for tech strategy according to a survey of over 300 B2B CMOs by Transmission. To be fair, some 42% were partly responsible. Overwhelmingly, the buck stopped with the CMO on things like brand strategy (72%) and marketing comms (81%).
