OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Atlas, its AI-powered web browser, on macOS; Windows, iOS, and Android are expected to follow soon. It’s the latest example of OpenAI expanding beyond chat, along with Instant Checkout to buy within responses and plans for an ad platform. It also gives OpenAI a seat on the AI web browser bandwagon, joining Perplexity’s Comet, Opera’s Neon, and others.
In an EMARKETER and Zeta Global survey of marketing professionals, customer data platforms top the list of most critical technologies for martech-adtech integration (52.2%), with cloud data warehouses/lakes fourth on the list (36.2%). Only 22.5% of respondents describe their stacks as fully integrated. Benefits of integrated systems include better attribution (47.1%), improved targeting (45.7%), and faster campaign execution (37.0%).
Google has begun automatically assigning a “New Customer Value” in acquisition ad campaigns without consent from the advertisers. Some marketers report being unable to change the value after Google sets it. If Google thinking it knows better than you do sounds familiar, that’s because it did the same thing for ROAS last month.
