Philippine-based multi-channel commerce platform development startup, ChatGenie, has raised additional capital in its recent fundraising campaign as part of Accelerating Asia’s fifth cohort for its first batch of investments from its US$20 million Fund II.

Grab is acquiring premium supermarket chain Jaya Grocer. According to a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Grab said it will acquire all of the ordinary shares of Jaya Grocer and 75% of the preference shares of Jaya Grocer. This comes less than two weeks after the company’s Nasdaq listing and according to The Edge Markets, the deal is valued to be up to RM1.8 billion.

Large Organizations Use Average of 367 Applications: Forrester Report

I can’t bring myself to lead with yet another generative AI story, so we’ll start instead with this Forrester report for Airtable, which found that organizations have lots of software applications.  The average is 367 in use at large organizations, with teams using an average of 45 daily and individuals using an average of 52 weekly.  No surprise here but a good reminder of why data integration is so important.
