Roblox Plans Shopify Integration

Further blurring the already fuzzy line between itself and reality, Roblox last week announced that, starting in early 2025, creators will be able to sell real-world products for real-world money through real-world ecommerce platforms.  The first integration will be Shopify.

Google Must Pay $2.7 Billion EU Anti-Trust Fine

It’s hard to feel sorry for a company that earns $660,000 per minute.  But it does seen a little tough that the same week Google started its second U.S. anti-trust trial and was ruled anti-competitive in the UK, it also lost its final appeal of a 2.4 billion euro ($2.7 billion) fine rising from an earlier European Union anti-trust judgment.  It’s almost as if regulators have started enforcing their rules.

B2B Marketing Lacks Behavior-Based Personalization: ON24

Nearly all (99%) of B2B marketers do some type of personalization, says this ON24 report. But don’t be too impressed: most is based on static data such as account segment (52%), named accounts (46%), or persona (38%).  Barely over one-third use behaviors such as content requests (37%), contact engagement (35%), and account engagement.  The vast majority (88%) plan to use AI to help their personalization programs.

Meta Faces Class Action for Overcharging Facebook Advertisers

Remember the good old days, when lying was considered unacceptable? The folks at Iron Tribe Fitness, a South Carolina gym, are holding Meta to that forgotten standard in a class action suit alleging that Facebook overcharged advertisers as much as $4 billion by using one type of auction bidding process while claiming to use another.  Meta blames the error on a “software glitch” that began in 2013 and continued for at least four years.
