Customer Data Platform vendor Lytics has added a journey orchestration engine, called Orchestrate. The new tool lets marketers define and execute multi-channel campaigns within Lytics and push the resulting lists of customers and the messages they should receive to external systems for delivery.
Mobile marketing automation platform Swrve also raised its $25 million Series D from conventional sources. Swrve gathers mobile data through its own SDK and can connect to other sources. It also exposes the data to external systems. So we could call them a Customer Data Platform, even though they don’t.
Reports emerged at the weekend that Salesforce was in advanced talks to acquire data management and integration platform Informatica. The deal would be Salesforce’s largest since acquiring Slack in 2021, and shares fell 7% Monday on the news. Informatica would add more advanced technical capabilities to the Salesforce product line.
